Problem : Magnesium

Magnesium is an alkaline earth metal which burns with brilliant light (thus its use in flares) to form magnesium oxide. Magnesium hydroxide is well known as a stomach antacid in the form of Milk of Magnesia and as magnesium sulphate as the well known purgative, ‘Epsom salts’. Magnesium is an essential nutritional element needed for normal functioning of
muscles. The total dietary intake is about 250 mg/day in adults.
